Wednesday, June 2, 2010 Emotions and Relationships -- How Using Emotional Health Principles Can Make A Difference Taught from 7-9 p.m. 220 East 200 North, Wellsville, Utah
Principles of Communication in Relationships
Communication is an important part of achieving peace in our world today. How do we communicate with family members, friends, co-workers, and others? Are there actually principles of emotional communication? How can we express our own desires without creating conflict and resistance? Can we learn to communicate with someone even when they don't want to listen? How can understanding principles of emotions help us resolve problems with others?
There really are principles of emotions that can help us understand how to communicate with others effectively. I have studied emotional communication (as taught by Marshall Rosenberg in particular) for years, and have been amazed at how easy it is to learn how to communicate clearly and precisely, in a manner that invites cooperation and enhances and enriches life. This workshop is based on principles of nonviolent communication, and will definitely make an amazing difference in your homes and in all of your relationships.
Registration: $8 at door, $5 if pre-registered. Please e-mail janet@peacethroughprinciples.com or call 435-890-0208. We will reply with confirmation. Note: You can "google" nonviolent communication and find out more about Marshall Rosenberg and his amazing work. This workshop is designed to familiarize you with those principles, and to give you practice in learning to apply them. Marshall Rosenberg calls it a "language," and it really is like learning a whole new way of thinking about the impact and expression of what you say. It really will change your life.
